Just thought Id post our periodic reminder as to the focus of this group: ..Our purpose is to engage, discuss and document.. properties and work with the City of Columbus in making it right. Our focus is on private sector buildings, but we do focus on all properties including City properties but the later has been proven to be resolved quickly because of our good working relationship with various City of Columbus Departments.... Founded circa 2010, we are a group of concerned Columbus citizens dedicated to drawing attention to the disrepair, deteriorating, and unsafe property conditions that exist in the City of Columbus and the derelict owners of these properties who do nothing in attempting to bring these once beautiful homes back to acceptable standards and code. Additionally, these same slumlords who do not manage their tenants in a responsible manner when it comes to trash, destruction of property, parking and illegal dumping in and around City trash receptacles. Most of these properties are repeat offenders and the City of Columbus has been unsuccessful in getting these slumlord or absentee landlords in bringing their properties to compliance. Our purpose is to engage, discuss and document these properties and work with the CIty of Columbus in making it right. Our focus is on private sector buildings, but we do focus on all properties including City properties but the later has been proven to be resolved quickly because of our good working relationship with various City of Columbus Departments. At this time our page solely focuses on this mission and posts should be relative to that mission. Promoting and advocating for other community services is currently not in our mission but definitely something to be taken into consideration if enough voices are heard.
