Welcome to AISH where each visitors name and schedule is listed by the door as soon as they arrive! Located across from the Kotel, the Western Wall, the wisdom of the sages, fills the atmosphere with holiness. The Rabbis and students at Aish HaTorah are inspirational, thoughtful, and so very wise. My first day was filled with so many ah-ha moments of self insight! My visit at Aish began with a 3 hour overview of the programs and divisions of Aish with Rabbi Gavriel Kleinerman, Rabbi Eric Coopersmith, Rabbi Ephraim Stone, Rabbi Nechemia Coopersmith, Rabbi David Schoomaker, Rabbi Shimmy Kaufman and Rabbi Eitiel Goldwicht on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday I learned and discussed contemporary issues - what is the significance of a persons name, what is truth, the power of speech, I had lunch with Rabbi Kleinerman and 4 students, all future Jewish leaders - one from Jamaica, one from Minsk, Russia, one from New Jersey and one from Toronto, Canada. I studied why the Jews, the purpose of life, and the sanctity of life. Yes, all in one day at Aish with Rabbi Motty Berger, Rabbi Daniel Weiner, Rabbi Zelig Pliskin, Rabbi Moshe Zeldman and Rabbi Chaim Yagoda.
