See this beat up filthy dirty cabinet? See the red leashes and chains tied around it. There were two sick, emaciated dogs tied up so tight to this cabinet, they couldnt move. See the bathtub. There was a sick emaciated dog tied so tight to the handle that animal control officers had to use bolt cutters to free the dog. Yes, that is fecal sludge. The cat in the sink was attacked by one of her hungry Pitbulls and the cats leg was broken and, of course, untreated. This cat was considered one of Gudgers favorites so instead of allowing the dogs to eat the cat, she allowed the cat to suffer in the sink. That cat could not move because of the broken, and we mean broken, leg. The leg was dangling. The cat was terrified. There were a few Pitbulls living in her bedroom and she fed them live cats and kittens. As a matter of fact, when Riverside County Animal Control obtained a search warrant, when they were walking around the filthy house full of sick and dead animals, and ALL of the animals had roaches covering their bodies, they heard fighting noises in the bedroom so they opened the door and saw two dogs fighting over a dead cat. How, with Animal abuse to this extreme and the fact that this psychopath was involved in many other crimes, too, is she living rent free in Venice, Ca, with NO restrictions. Why would Brenda Barnette, who had the perfect opportunity to obtain a search warrant in November of 2013,ignore our pleas, our begs for help. We have not only gotten the runaround from most of her department (LA City Animal Services), City Attorney Mike Feurers office had documentation in front of them and credible witnesses to swear under oath that cages of cats were removed from her apartment, including video of this activity taken by a licensed PI. Why not charge her with something - even operating an illegal kennel. By the way, Mike Feurer refused to take any of the PIs calls. And he claims he takes animal cruelty seriously and will not tolerate it? Sounds like he and his office has made an exception with Cynthia Gudger. We will remember this when he is up for re-election.
