Welcome to Sunday Night Live with Ricky Cash. Late night last - TopicsExpress

Welcome to Sunday Night Live with Ricky Cash. Late night last night because I had to work a double shift since one of my convict co-workers got detained for the night. I cant give out the particulars but in this case if you draw your own conclusions you are most definitely correct. For the record I have never liked the concept of The Bucket List. For me I felt if you have a bucket list and your over 65 you really had to do all these things you wanted to do quickly because your time was running out. That didnt sit well with me since I remain a positive person and if I had a list I too would want to rush things along. Recently however I have come around to a new way of thinking. I decided I would make a list but I would take all the time I wanted to get them done. If I don;t get to all the items so be it. I know I will get most of them so I figure I would make the best of these years doing things Ive never done, going places Ive never been, and experience more of everything left I want to do. So that brings me to last Saturday night. When I was just a kid my parents would take me to Coney Island in Brooklyn New York yo go to Nathans, and the amusement park on the boardwalk. I wouldnt get on the roller coaster for the life of me and that still is something I do not plan to do. However there was the bumper cars which I loved. I started driving them when I was 8 years old and it was my first experience behind the wheel. Those who still drive with me today still tell me that riding with me is like those bumper car rides. Anyway when I got tall enough I wanted to ride in those very fast go carts but for whatever prevented me to do that, I never got a chance. When Bobcat, our radio show producer first came up with the challenge for us to race at the Gene Woods Raceway for a Celebrity Challenge Match against the radio show hosts from our station in order to raise funds and awareness to stop bullying I was all over it. My exact words on the show that night was Bring it on. Aaron Phillips my co-host immediately said to me Are you crazy those bad boys go 70 - 90 miles an hour on a banked track with a half a million curves. I said to him No problem Ive been doing this for years. You just stay behind me and were sure to finish first. What bullshit was I doing. The Bucket List is what I was doing. Aaron must have figured this knowing me as well as does so we were allowed to have a third racer and he picked this young man Jason who at 14 was well on his way to follow the Busch brothers into Nascar. So to make a long story short, as youve seen on pictures already posted on Facebook, yes we did win. Jason lapped the field and won going away. I at least finished the race not in last place simple because on the last lap of 8 Aaron got stuck with one of the contestants and I simple weaved my way around them to finish 12th in the field of 14. How about that. What I didnt mention was it was a blast. It was however very physically challenging. No power steering for sure, my arms and hands were aching still this morning and not to mention my legs and my butt. I was able to get into the go cart but it took four people to help me out of it. This will be my first and last go cart race. I retire knowing I did this for charity on something I have strong feelings about. Bullying has gone on for years but it has reached new levels of intensity with the advent of social media. Suicide is now the number one killer of teenagers today. Not only is this a terrible statistic its an unacceptable one. We must all do what we can to stop this on every level. We are going to take $50.00 right out of the Ricky Cash Fan Club and make a donation to this organization, This is now what we do. Not only will we support worthy causes in the community by appearing at events but we will also make a cash contribution where we can. In order to continually do this we need to get as many new members as we can to join the club. If you have already, thank you so much. Reach out to your list of friends on Facebook and tell them about the club. If you havent joined, its never too late. Go to vegasunwrapped.net and go to the club link and go from there. In the meantime have a great week everyone. -- Ricky Cash (Richard Marsh) Co-Host - Vegas Unwrapped Internet Radio. Co-Host- Raw Power Sports Tuesday 6-8PM PDT KLAV 1230 AM Radio.
