Welcome to Tory Britain. A country where the rights of the privileged and the wealthy are upheld above those of the common man, woman and child. Where Human Rights have little value and where social housing is seen as a pariah and an obstacle to the potential profit of a few well placed multi-Millionaires. The New Era Estate in Hoxton, London is one such example of an ideology that is destroying communities and placing profit above all else, its residents, many of whom have lived there for many years, now being told to pay the massively increased rent that the new, already massively wealthy owners are requiring, or to simply get out. Compassionate Conservatism? What of Londons buffoon of a Mayor, Boris Johnson? A staunch Tory and ex-Bullingdon Club boy, Boris is somewhat predictably siding with the developers of course, the needs of the wealthy outweighing the needs of the poor as is invariably the case with the Conservative party and its hangers on. Russell Brand, a guy that is no stranger to revolutionary action these days has thrown his weight behind this issue, and whilst some may argue that he could perhaps chip in some of his Millions himself, money is not what is going to change things in this instance because the culprits are massively more wealthy than Mr Brand is, or is ever likely to be. What is required here then is numbers. A show of objection in the face of Tory tyranny and a finger to the ruling elite in the process. If you are of the inclination to do so then please make your mark here and stand with those that are set to lose everything, just to make a few multi-Millionaires even more wealthy than they already are...
