Welcome to our Scottish friends Next year we will be only an short flight hour apart as Atlantic Airways will open its new flight route between Edinburgh and the Faroe Islands. Today our national airline company, that already has frequent flights from international hubs like Barcelona and Copenhagen Airport, announced it will expand its route network to also include 2 weekly departures to the Faroe Islands from Port-adhair Dhùn Èideann (Gaelic language) better known as Edinburgh Airport. The big international airport of Scotland has over 10 million passengers a year and direct flights to and from destinations like Paris, London, Amsterdam and New York, making it even easier for tourists from these destinations to come and visit our isles up in the North Atlantic.
