Welcome to our latest installment! - LADY OF THE LAKE Chapter 1 Meet Lady Alicia. She is a terrified young girl, hungry, alone and trapped in a high kill shelter. She hears the workers talk as they walk by...... today is her last day - I wish someone would come & save her.... Huddled in the back of her kennel, Lady Alicia shivered and shook with fear. Would she get out of this horrible place? Or was this to be the end of her short life? How did it come to this? Suddenly, a door opened with a bang! Light streamed through the doorway. In walked 2 people with smiles, hands outstretched towards her....they were heading her way! Lady Alicia hesitated..... could this really be true? Are these people there to save her?? Before she could blink, Lady Alicia was taken out of that cold, damp kennel and placed in a car. It was true! These wonderful people were here for her! Stay tuned for Chapter 2 ..........
