Welcome to the 37th Annual Lake Samish Race. This year’s race will take place on SUNDAY, January 5th, 2014. Please note that in the past this race has been held on a Saturday and this year it is on Sunday! Again this year we will begin the race with 2 separate start times. The 13.1 mile race will start at 10:00 AM and 6.5 mile race will start at 10:15AM. This is to alleviate congestion on the roadway. Online registration for this event will open starting November 20, 2013 and will be available until January 2nd, 3 days prior to the race. Please note that we are also limiting the race to 300 runners this year. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO PRE-REGISTER ONLINE. LAST YEAR THE RACE FILLED WITH ONLINE REGISTRATIONS AND THERE WAS NO DAY OF REGISTRATION AVAILABLE. This also means that if you register for this race you have committed to running it, and should make sure you show up on race day (unless you have emergency circumstances). Please DO NOT sign up unless you are SURE you will be taking part in the event! This year we will again have chip timing! We will have 2 shuttle vans to help get runners from the Lake Samish Park & Ride parking lot to the race start quickly and efficiently. Because parking for this race is limited, please carpool if possible and arrive EARLY as the race will start on time! We will again be offering technical running beanies with a custom logo on front. We will not be selling the beanies on race day, but only to those who choose to purchase one with their online registration. Note: Beanies are one size fits all and there will be a NEW color scheme for the 2014 race! The links for the registration are found below.
