Welcome to the Friends of the Cynon Trail page. Here you will be able to find information relating to the Trail and also its use as part of the National Cycle Network (NCN Route 478). Youll be able to see all current issues affecting users of the Trail and maintenance work undertaken such as litter picks, fly tipping clearance and route signing, surface conditions to name but a few. Local events along the Trail will also be posted here. The Trail is maintained by Rhondda Cynon Taf (R-C-T) Council along with charity organisation Sustrans and Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and are helped in keeping the route safe by South Wales Police (SWP) and South Wales Fire Service (SWFS).
