Welcome to the Sensorium in Rüttihubelbad The Sensorium in Rüttihubelbad is an interactive exhibit with about seventy displays of experience. Discovery is clearly and emphatically welcomed here. Everything may and should be tried out. You generate and observe phenomenal designs, rhythms, balance and many more. An exciting and stimulating exploration brings you very close to the laws of nature and life. In the Sensorium, everything revolves around activating sensory perception. The visitors particularly children and youths will playfully and actively experience approximately 70 exhibits where they will hear, see, smell and feel the known and the unknown. You experience the rotating disc with it`s optical phenomena, the fragrance tree which presents a variety of scents, stones, wood and gongs that let out sounds to be heard and felt. A partner swing allows you to experience active teamwork with one another. To say it in the words of Hugo Kükelhaus on whom the ideas of the Sensorium goes back to. Visitors discover how “the eyes see, the ears hear, the nose smells, the skin feels, the fingers grope, the foot understands, the hand comprehends, the brain thinks, the lung breath, blood pulses, the body swings.” The field of experience on the development of senses offers diverse and practical insights on personal life pattern, for schools, teaching and research. It gives deeper insights into the relationship between man and nature and thus contributes to an enhanced understanding of environmental education. In this sense, the Sensorium goes beyond the exhibits presented here.
