How are you this evening? Ophidian The Cobra: Hello, one & all. My evening is going as well as it can. I’m spending the night in at Casa Cobra. Robert D. Oberman: First question, what got you into wrestling? Ophidian The Cobra: That is a long and time consuming answer to write out. Ill give you the Cliff Notes version. Amasis, my partner in the Osirian Portal, and I were sent here from ancient Egypt via the Portal of Osiris. We needed a new form of combat to defeat the Persian Army with. The problem, the portal is broken and unrepairable. So, we are stuck in this time and decided to stick with Professional Wrestling. Robert D. Oberman: What is your in-ring style? Are you a high-flyer, technical or brawler? Ophidian The Cobra: My in-ring form of combat is Snake Style Lucha. That is the reason I am known around the world as The Master of Snake Style. It is a blend of Mexican Lucha Libre, Muay Thai, and Snake. Robert D. Oberman: Where all have you wrestled? Ophidian The Cobra: Ive battled warriors all over the world. Main eventing shows at the ECW Arena, Fighting for NWA gold in Osaka, Japan with Zero1, making it to the finals of Tag World Grand Prix in Oberhausen, Germany... The list goes on my friend. In about 2 months, Ill heading over to the UK to battle their best. To sum it all up, I am a world traveled fighter. Robert D. Oberman: Which companies do you wrestle at here in the United States? Ophidian The Cobra: Currently, Im a main stay at Chikara Pro. CHIKARA occupies a lot of my schedule since they tour the country. Next weekend, we make out return to Canada. Besides CHIKARA, you can truly catch me anywhere. I have spent my entire career traveling and battling for the best Indy promotions in the world. Robert D. Oberman: When I met you it was in Connellsville, PA for Vicious Outcast Wrestling. You and your partner took on Generation Dead for the Tag Team titles. When are you scheduled to appear there next? Ophidian The Cobra: I am not scheduled to appear there anymore. I will be in the UK battling during their next scheduled event. Robert D. Oberman: Who will you be battling in the UK? Ophidian The Cobra: I will be traveling all over. I start my tour in Manchester with PCW. Then, I head to the Channel Islands with CIW. During the week, Ill be running seminars in London with Progress and in Newcastle with Hybrid. Then a show with Hybrid. Beyond that, Ill be in Middleborough with RISE and one more company that has yet to be finalized. Robert D. Oberman: As a world traveler, how are you received by the fans in different cultures? Ophidian The Cobra: Extremely well and always with open arms. Im in love with Japan. Their fans are the most respectful Ive ever encountered. Germany had some of the most creative and wild fans. Canadian fans just love wrestling and are happy to have international travelers. Robert D. Oberman: Do you have a favorite venue to wrestle at? Ophidian The Cobra: Forever and always, The ECW Arena. It is the venue with the most hardcore fans in the world. You earn the respect of the crowd in that arena; you are a true warrior of contention. Robert D. Oberman: Now tell me more about Chikara Pro as I am unfamiliar with them. Are their shows on YouTube? Ophidian The Cobra: CHIKARA Pro is the Lucha Super party. Ophidian The Cobra: When it comes to tag team action, Fire Ant and Soldier Ant of The Colony. Weve battled them all over the country and for the CHIKARA Campeonatos De Parejas on multiple occasions. When it comes to Singles action, Amasis. We are no longer rivals though. Robert D. Oberman: Ok sir. I know that you have to go. Thank you for sharing some time with me.
