Well - I have not posted anything of substance here before, but I feel the occasion warrents it. Last week, Jonathan went off to college. Dad, Pat and I stuffed everything (or just about everything) Jonathan wanted to take, into the Escape and headed off to Michigan - 5 hours and 1 time zone away. It was a tight fit, but it did fit. We left wednesday 8/14 about 7:30pm. Drove to the hotel near college and got a good nights rest. Moving day went smoth. John checked into the dorm, filled out paperwork and we started moving him in. its a nice room with a balcony, and the room slowly came to life as John started to settle in. A final lunch at steak and shake, a food run to Mejer, and it was time to say goodbye, at least until Thanksgiving. It was a teary ride home for both Pat and I, but a new adventure is beginning for all of us. It is just amazing how fast 18 years can fly by.
