Well 40 years ago August 4th I graduated from nursing school ! Yikes!! That was the last time I wore the cap, which used to be a symbol of pride in the very old days. The black stripe indicating Registered Nurse. My school even provided us with beautiful navy blue wool capes lined with red wool...I was very lucky to attend that particular school run by an old lady that I very much admired. Dr Mary Ann Burns. She was a nursing leader in Africa in WWII. She was very disciplined and required it of all of her students. I am grateful for having known her.
