Well... Almost thirty years ago our family made a decision to buy a Village News where Brenda Punter had already worked since I was a nipper. We said we would share the work, which we did for a time. As a teenager though I soon got bored, as did my big bro Dp Punter ( he was busy at work). Perry Punter was also working full time, so Mum did the graft. She has continued to do that tirelessly with a smile on her face in all those years, becoming an institution. Her legendary 10p mixes are part of the reason Pez doesnt have a Ferrari and a yacht, but by god there are some happy kids out there that love her dearly. I dont normally do public displays of affection, but my Mum is an inspiration on how good a human soul can be. This weekend is a huge as they close a chapter in their life and look forward to the future. We cant wait to have them visiting us in Oman over the winter when the temperature seldom drops below 20degrees. I promise to wait on them hand and foot, and make sure we repay the kindness and love that they have always shown xxx
