Well B2 made their long awaited return to the hallowed turf of finsbury 1 today. As usual I was copping it from the boys telling me I cant win a toss and today was no different having to bowl first, which was a blessing in disguise! Adam baillie and Phil Calcutt opened up and scoring was extremely hard to come by. Phil with the first breakthrough and then a few maidens from each of them brough bails a wicket at the end of his 7. Vivek and rowdy came on and didnt let off the right bowling which saw them 5/51 at drinks. A couple of decent partnerships from them saw them finish at 6/116 with zac jane snaring one and a gobfull from one of their batsmen which spiced up the game! We were confident that we could chase the score down but a wicket on the first ball of our innings got everyone realising we had a game on our hands. Michael Hayter and Ben jane then putting on over 100 run partnership with Benny getting out for 42 trying to play a switch hit! Michael ended up on 59 not out and was well on his way to a 100. A massive thanks goes out to Karl Harisson for fielding for us when the silver fox mick Munro reinsured his hand. A win against the top side is always sweet but to do it against pine rivers on finsbury 1 has made me one happy captain! Well done boys!
