🏁 Well Cannonballers what can I say, on behalf of Martin & myself and all the Cannonball GT Team,I would like to say a huge thank you to all the Cannonballers who joined us in the blistering winters sunshine🌞 for our Cannonball GT Rally on Saturday , extra thanks go out to Jessica & Lorraine for manning the signing on, Phil Pimpo Peter & Kev for applying the decals before we left London and headed to Donington for our second Cannonball GT Rally . We hit some traffic on the M1 before our PitStop at Newport Pagnall to pick up our Northern Contingent ,Tom,Jordan,Terry & co. Then it was truly a Spirited run to Donington where the whole Cannonball GT gang arrived in the Parc Ferme within half an hour of each other , er with the exception of Sean and his wife Joanne who took a longer Cannonball Run than the rest of us and arrived after the Parade Laps! And how cool were those Parade laps! As the sun beamed down, we followed the Safety Car out onto the circuit for two Cannonball GT Style laps of the famous Derbyshire circuit before returning to the Pits and back to the Parc Ferme. 😎 We were able to take some cool footage of you all hooning it around the circuit safely and will be posting it up shortly after editing. It was great to meet some new Cannonball GT virgins and so many of the hardened Cannonball GT regulars during lunch and during the Brit Car races. It was great to see all the Cannonballers mixing and sharing stories of the day as the cars raced past under the neon lights if the evening. We had prime position from our fantastic Goddards VIP Hospitality Suite, to watch first hand the harshness of Motorsport as the Mosler was hit from behind and sent spinning backwards into the Pitlane entrance before our very eyes. The circuit emergency services were on the scene in seconds as the race was halted as they extracted the Doctor driving. It was great to see the Doctor receive a round of applause from all of the Cannonballers as he made his way into the ambulance before being taken to the medical centre, the true hero he was , he even managed to give us all a big thumbs up a true Cannonballer in the making. Reports are he is ok and we will update you all soon. The racing went on into the evening, with the cars sporting cool neons and side lit numbers providing a fantastic finale to a great day out . Final thanks go to Bob, Drew, Tara and all Donington Staff for a great day out at Donington and all McKenzie Arnold Security for keeping us and the cars safe throughout the day . Now all I have to do is edit hundreds of photographs and videos and post them up before the next event !! Many thanks for now , Phil and all at Cannonball GT 🏁 😎
