Well, Christmas 2014 has come to an end, and I am so happy that I am exhausted and tired from having such a wonderful day, instead of in a place where 12 months ago last Christmas, didn’t look promising from what we had been told. Again, Cooper has proven everyone wrong and I am so proud and beyond words to express, my thoughts and feelings of being so grateful, privileged and honoured to have been able to spend another Christmas with him and our family, knowing those of whom have lost their battle with DIPG and thinking of the families that are without their loved one today. Cooper woke early and was quick to race into the lounge room, to see what Santa had brought and he was very happy. We allowed Cooper to open one present, before having breakfast and attending a morning church service, with Michael’s Grandma and the whole family. It was then back to our place for lunch, drinks and treats, and a swim in the new pool. What a beautiful day it was for it as well. He opened all of his presents, and was a very spoilt little guy, but so deserving of everything that he received today. When I look back at where we were last Christmas, 17days into his 30 days of radiation treatment, and what the diagnosis held for him and for us, I am again, at a loss for words. Cooper your strength and determination in fighting this cruel monster, whilst still having your cheekiness, sense of humour, love for life and for everyone around you, and the ability to be so caring and attentive to others makes me so proud to be your Mummy. I am so happy to be here with you today and I hope beyond all hope, and pray that I will be sitting here again, writing about Christmas 2015 and how you are the one to beat all the odds, and that you are the one to beat this. We will Never Ever Give Up. I love you so much little man. Merry Christmas, goes out to all of Cooper’s Journey followers, I hope that you have all had an amazing day with family, friends and loved ones whether they be near or far. I have put together a quick clip of some Christmas photo’s I hope you enjoy! Merry Christmas Michael, Amanda and Cooper xx
