Well FB peeps!! I am very proud of myself today. I normally dont get anyone on April fools day, yet everyone gets me!! So at lunch w 5th grade today the kids asked to sing happy birthday to somebody and I said yes. We sang a song and then somebody came up and asked me if we could sing happy birthday to somebody else. I said yes. So we sang again. Then a group of boys came up to me and asked if they could sing for one more birthday bc they had forgotten to ask earlier. At this point, Im getting a little irritated because we have to get ready to go out for recess. So I gatherrd the boys to the front of the cafeteria so we could sing our last birthday song. As they were about to start singing, all the boys yelled out April Fools day Mrs. Niles!! I started laughing bc they got me really good!! Soooo. ... We were lining the kids up to go outside, finally. I told the 5th graders that I needed to make an announcement. I looked over at the group of boys and and in a very extreme and mean voice, told them that it was not funny what they did, it was a complete waste of time when we are in such a rush and for that they were going to have to have recess in doors as a detention. I kept my stare at them long without smiling and looking really serious. You should have seen all their faces!! Because of course, I really ever yell. There was a lot of mumbling under their breath, & I can just imagine the words I was being called. Once knew they totally believed me, I yelled out April fools boys!! It was so awesome!! Dont mess w the messer lol
