Well FB peeps… Update time: Tomorrow begins the last week of a six week journey… Continuous chemo and daily radiation. I will tell you that all this radiation and chemistry does affect your body. Fatigue has become my shadow and has impacted every day. A few other side affects have reared their ugly heads, but I wont really go down that road. The last day for this stage is Monday, September 29…. and then we sit back and allow the radiation glow to calm down… which will take about 4 weeks. Then… surgery ….. to remove whatever survived this attack on my body. All CT scans show no other cancer in my body… so everything is looking good. Funny how something like this changes so much in your life… it enhances relationships that you already have…. it makes you take a closer look at what you really believe in…. It makes you appreciate the life you have been handed… and what you have chosen to do with that life. My life changed July 28th…. I will never be that man again…. and thats ok… I think I will find that I like the new guy better…. All of the cards, calls, emails, texts and good thoughts and prayer have made such a difference to me… All of you will never know how much I appreciate all that has been sent to me… I hope you will forgive me if I sound greedy… but I would so appreciate any continued prayer you could send me… I have a feeling this last week is going to be somewhat of a challenge… But Im up for it… As I have said from day 1… Cancer… you picked the wrong one to mess with… I wish you all a great week… Jim
