Well, HIS mercies are NEW every morning. Loving the morning quiet and a day off from labor. This has been a very uninspired Christmas season for me. I have been getting asked over and over, are you ready for Christmas ?. I havent known how to answer, really. Its like the old Charlie Brown Christmas cartoons dilemma, what is Christmas really all about? I do get caught up in all the regalia and hype of Christmas. I think most of us do. Im really kind of over it this year. I have been asking myself, am I ready for Christmas? For me, because of my Christmas funk, I have been wanting to , rather, running to, embrace what the coming of Jesus means to me. Right now. Today Im thankful for Grace. The gift of forgiveness. Christmas is about God taking the initiative and reaching out to ME. It really is hard to fathom. What a gift! But wait theres more...! The gift of the Holy Spirit too! The ability to live and fellowship with God today. The coming of the messiah is one of the greatest events of history so thank you God. Joy to the WORLD! For god so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son.
