Well, Hellfest is over for another year, boo! Throughly wiped out yesterday and barely functional this morning though the bike ride to work soon sorted that out. Fantastic weekend, loads of great music, beer, food and good company, what more could you ask for? :) We packed in a ton of stuff this time around, felt way more hectic than last year - Full sets: Tyr, Evoken, Black Breath, Pallbearer, Black Pyramid, Carpathian Forest, God Seed, Koldbrann, My Dying Bride, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, Kampfar, Belphegor, Finntroll, Immortal, Svart Crown, Inquisition, Ihsahn, Korpiklaani, Dark Funeral, Moonspell, Marduk, Swans Part sets: Hate, Hooded Menace, Rotting Christ, Karma to Burn, Krisiun, Wintersun, Napalm Death Phew, no wonder yesterday was a write off. :) Swans were amazing, though perhaps they could have started the set with something a little less abstract and avoided having half the audience wander off confused. Rain might have benefitted them as it did Sunn O))) last year! For those who stated it was an insane and mesmerising performance and the highlight of the weekend for me having missed them twice in the last year. Should be some nice pics of the performance to follow (along with a lot of other festival pics once I get around to sorting them out).
