Well, I cant believe that I am 60 years old! Ancient! Fossil! I - TopicsExpress

Well, I cant believe that I am 60 years old! Ancient! Fossil! I guess I should introduce myself now like: Hi there, Scott Hoyt….Paleozoic Period….nice to meet you. You know, the older you get, the faster time seems to fly by. Look at yourself, for instance. How old are you now? 40? 30? 20? Now, think about how fast those first 40, 30, or 20 years (or whatever age you are) flew by! The next 40, 30, or 20 will go by just as quickly (actually, even quicker) and then, the next thing you know, youll be 80, 60 or 40! Scary! Youll be like, Damned, what happened? :-) I remember my mother telling me, I still feel like Im 18 in my mind but, when I look in the mirror Im reminded that Im not! I can, totally, relate to that, as Im sure everyone else my age (or older) can. At the moment, I am in my hotel room in Amarillo, Texas (not exactly at the top of my list of places I wanted to spend my 60th birthday!) ;-) But, through the wonderful technology of the Apple iPhone, I was able to call home using the Face Time app, where all my family is gathered on the back deck, grilling burgers, after attending Easter church services and SEE and visit with everyone, live. The Dick Tracy phone of the future is now here! It was the closest thing to actually being there, except I didnt get to have a burger! Which reminds me, I need to get some lunch….but, I digress. The bottom line: Life is short and fleeting. Make the most of it. Enjoy your family, friends, good food and good music while you are here! My thanks to everyone for all the wonderful birthday wishes! Hopefully, through my travels, well see each other again soon. Happy Easter to everyone!
