Well, I did my patriotic duty and watched The Interview last night (Netflix is streaming it). I have to say I am not sure why it was so upsetting to North Korea. Sure, it pokes fun at them and their Supreme leader, but no more so than Monty Python has done routinely at British Royalty, not to speak of the many other comedians and movie-makers that have skewered numerous Western leaders. It was a sort of fun movie, although too crude for my liking. I also like more high brow one-liners. This movie relied way too much on only marginally humorous situational gags and slow-mo sequences to try for some laughs. Even then, crude innuendos were the predominant form of humor. The only reason to watch this is for historical reasons, and to defy North Korea.
