Well I didnt do it on New Years Eve or Day, but I am taking time tonight to reflect on 2014. What an amazing year. I started the year by heading to Cozumel ~ first time out of the country ~ and I got to enjoy it with my wonderful friend Angela Wolbert. Shortly after returning, I participated in the Color Run in Madison with some of the strongest, funniest women I know: Joan Delsrude, Jean Oleson, Sarah Shell, and Sheri Oleson Holthe...believe it or not, it was that trip to Madison when a series of text messages with Thomas OLeary led to setting up a showing on our house. Shortly thereafter, I was able to join the Conversion Development Team at Idexx Computer Systems, and we closed on our house (within about three weeks of each other). On move-in day, I received one of my most favorite gifts...a visit from Trevyn Lucas Paige. I dont think I have ever been more shocked or excited :). A few weeks after moving in, Sampson joined our family, and somehow he, Nermal and Tigger became brothers...they may not always like each other, but somehow it works. The last half of the year was spent figuring out all the nuances of home ownership, and the inevitable scramble to get ready for winter. I definitely discovered a love of pellet stoves, and walking Sammy out in the back field (even if it involves my hunting gear to help stay warm). I have no idea where this year will take us, but I can say for certainty, before January is over, I am getting myself one of those little circle sleds. I have at least 3 good spots to use one.
