Well, I got my laptop back from the repair shop. Apparently, it overheated and actually melted the soldering on the motherboard. Humorously enough though, by intentionally overheating this particular model I can re-melt the soldering. This will make everything expand and everything will *just* connect together (until I shut it down and everything cools again). Its only a temporary work-around, but it will last long enough for me to get a new computer.
