Well, I got the official word. I will not be the voice of Big Tex. My agent did tell me that I came close and was in contention right up to the end. Its a brutal gig, yall. 10 hrs a day, 7 days a week for the entirety of the fair. No prerecording, you have to be there doing it live. It would have been a great honor , and a hoot, but I guess I will just have to enjoy my August in some other way. Thanks for the support. And congrats to the poor devil who got the gig.
