Well, I had a meeting with my orthopedic surgeon, Dr. M. de Sade, at Virginia Mason Hospital this week. He, and my Nancy, AKA Nurse Rachid, have made conclusive plans for my next knee replacement surgery for next Tuesday. I am sure you can imagine my surprise to learn that an ad was placed by these two in the “Help Wanted” section of the Congo Times for a witch doctor especially trained in hoodoo voodoo. Which in English means ‘make them knees heal slowly and as painfully as possible”. They had over 3,000 responses. I’m telling you this so that if you have anything nice to say to me, you should do it soon, before I die at the hands of these maniacs. And send chocolate in large quantities as soon as possible, preferably UPS overnight.
