Well I had the honor to revisit the world of Jared Hess...AHHH Jared Hess, the man who made Napoleon Dynamite. A cult classic of sorts that I dont under stand, its not pretentious or too smart its just...shoot a camera in New Mexico, get Jon Heder, Hilary Duffs sister, extras, Jon Gries from The Rundown and Enola from Waterworld. Im sure some love it its just not my bag. But Im not here to talk about his first feature film, he captured lightning in a bottle, a la Donnie Darko style and followed it up with a spectacular mis-fire, although not as TERRIBLE as Southland Tales, Nacho Libre, a star vehicle for comeback Jack Black as Nacho. Well....needless to say this is text book bad writing for a comedy, just for people to try and get the joke. Black is really a bad character, playing a lazy, cliché from, a monetary who dreams of being a lucha-dore. But hes FAT, get it...hes fat. Fart joke. Bottom line this is a really really dull experience, having characters do odd stuff for no reason, an orphan has a machete, and for some reason Silver king plays a bad guy who is angry at every thing. And no one to like or root for. If you wanna riff it, more power to ya or like it, thats fine. This is just one persons opinion.
