Well, I have been 95%-100% blind for the past few days!!!!!! Holy cow. I can finally kind of see to type this.....So, Fri night I used a face wash and assumed I could use it to take off my eye makeup. Well, not a good idea....it burned my eyes quite nicely...in the morning I woke up with a haze over my vision, like I had Vaseline covering my eyes. My Brother Rex and I planned a hike up Parowan Canyon so we went anyway. The hike was a difficult assent up rough shale, gravel, fallen logs, and thick forest wrapped with jetting red rocks that had a God-like glow (but I couldn’t see it). We pushed a cardio for two hours without a break to the top. The summit was supposed to be a spectacular end of a narrow ridge with a 360 degree view, but during the hike, my vision got worse and worse... by the time we reached the summit I couldn’t tell if my dog was a rock or a tree stump. I couldn’t see Rex when he was five feet away!!! So needless to say, I sat in a fog instead of the blazing blue sky that Rex was able to see. Now, how the heck do I get back down??? We considered life flight but Rex would have had to go all the way down to get cell service...wow- wow... so he had to literally hold my had the entire two hours or more down, helping me place my feet, and helping me squat down to maneuver between boulders and sticks, he was so sweet to me and took care of me... Very scary, and will I be able to see again??? It was interesting that just in that short while, my other senses kicked in. I could hear what I was stepping on, whether it was pine cones, small rocks or large rocks... We rested every 500 yards or so... I was never so glad to get in his truck. Now the story gets worse... when I got back to his house, I was anxious to take my contacts out... well when I did, I think because my eyes were so swollen, the contacts pulled off a bit of my cornea... now I’m into screaming pain! All night long! My eyes sealed shut all night into the next day... Insta Care said they didn’t know enough about eyes....so I have to wait till Monday to go to an eye doc... so now, Sunday eve, my eye will open a little bit... I had to wonder what life would be without sight! My life would sure have to change! Tonight in my gratitude journal, I’m going to say I’m thankful for my eyesight. They say that eyes heal faster than any other part of the body... So, any eye docs out there, with an idea of what could have happened? Will my eyes ever be the same? Has this happened to anyone else with face cream? Im feeling better every hour. Sorry so long... This is the view that i couldnt see but my iphone could:
