Well I have encouraged people to paint the big picture but not to - TopicsExpress

Well I have encouraged people to paint the big picture but not to dwell on it use it to align the smaller steps it takes each day to get to get to that goal. So here is my own living example. All I said is that I was going to work out every day... (and I still missed days) I then said I was going to adhere to a specified daily menu... (stayed on task with this) and paid no attention to the end result... just the day to day commitment needed to yield a favorable one. I didnt weigh myself... still have not. I havent tested my max strength or speed at running or any of that... I just focused on my daily goal of working out and maintaining my diet. Now without seeking any measurement Ive received comments that I look slimmer and more toned. Once again... I aligned my daily plan with my long term goal but then put all my focus on my day to day activity. Yes. It is important to set your long term goal... but only to align your day to day activity to reach it. No destination, no matter how great, is reached without the accumulation of many smaller ones.
