Well, I have now started the B.L.A.S.T. mentoring program (Building Leaders Authors Speakers and Teachers). It has me reading books, watching videos, working on a bio (way out of my comfort zone), writing, and connecting to a small group. It has put my brain and heart into overdrive. Before I jumped in, I felt like I needed to nail down some basics in my life. Making this list helped me to solidify my deepest priorities for the coming year. Even though my list below has no mention of writing a book, holding to these priorities will act as the hardcover that will surround and protect the words within. My Top 15 Areas of Interest for 2015: I am NOT interested in using bitterness, anger or resentment to hold others hostage. I AM interested in reconciliation. I am NOT interested in being disengaged. I AM interested in being culturally relevant. I am NOT interested in compromising truth. I AM interested in clearly communicating truth. I’m NOT interested in self-righteousness. I AM interested in humility, mercy and grace. I am NOT interested in giving love or gifts with strings. I AM interested in generously giving love and gifts freely without expectation. I am NOT interested in symbolism. I AM interested in substance. I am NOT interested harboring what is good. I AM interested in sharing what is helpful. I am NOT interested in being aloof. I AM interested in being approachable. I am NOT interested in being inaccessible. I AM interested in being available. I am NOT interested in being disingenuous. I AM interested in being authentic. I am NOT interested in retaliation or revenge. I AM interested in forgiveness and proper justice. I am NOT interested in positions. I AM NOT interested in people. I am NOT interested in deadlines. I AM more interested in excellence. I am NOT interested in being overly ambitious. I AM interested in spending generous amounts of time with friends and family. I am NOT interested in the god I have made in my own image. I AM interested in the God who made me in His image!
