Well, I just learned this the obnoxious way. Anybody with an iPhone that makes the switch to Android, make sure you sign out of your iMessage account before the switch. Otherwise, good luck text messaging on ANY new non-Apple device with other iPhone users. This is the kind of stuff that pisses me off about Apple. Its Apples world and I was just held hostage in it. I read online how people didnt figure this out, got annoyed at one carrier or the other, or their non-Apple device, and just reverted back to the Apple world. This sort of thing should be illegal... Im going to think about it for awhile because it just might be.
