Well, I knew it was coming..I was nominated to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! And although I think it is a wonderful way to raise awareness and the amount of money raised for research is utterly phenomenal, however I will NOT be accepting the challenge by dumping ice water on my head! Please dont think I am a party pooper, but the reason ice water is used, is to let us kind of get a feel for what a person that has ALS goes thru with their nerves. Well I, unfortunately, get to feel that every single day :( having brain surgery has left me with chronic nerve pain in my noggin :/. I dont need to pour ice water on my head to feel that! And why would I want to cause my head to suffer more pain than it already does? Just sayin! ;)..I, in no way, mean to make this about me and or brain tumors..I dont know anyone personally affected by ALS, but I do know thousands of people that have been affected by a brain tumor, research is severely underfunded, and recognition of awareness is lacking. So keep raising those buckets and dumping that ice! If I can, I will definitely make a donation.........................to help find a CURE!!
