Well I lived to tell the tale of conquering the mountain. It was horrendously hot and humid and not much fun at all. Last year we had lots of rain and the trail was so muddy and slippery but I would have preferred those conditions again over todays heat. I have to say I didnt enjoy it at all today, but it was great to run/hike with my running buddies. Sadly, my shin is very sore, I have been hobbling around and it seems to be getting sorer as the day goes on, I will be getting a bone scan this week to determine if I have another stress fracture or just bad MTSS. One way or another I need to know. Ill be easing off running and incorporating more cycling, swimming and weights into my exersize regime over the hot summer months which will give my leg some recovery time. So frustrating but I know the drill đ
