Well I realize that I posted a review for The Musketeers BBC TV - TopicsExpress

Well I realize that I posted a review for The Musketeers BBC TV Show last Sunday, but what I forgot to do was to tell you all about the other two premieres that were on last Sunday. One of these premieres was the premiere of the new TNT series entitled The Last Ship. This show is directed by Michael Bay, (the man behind the new Transformer movie franchise). The show is about how the world has been infected with a deadly disease and how man needs to find a cure or else all of humanity will die. The disease, which was first spotted in Cairo, is so deadly that anyone who contracts it dies within two days from when they got the infection. Two of the people who have died from the disease are the president and the vice president of the United States. This show is entitled The Last Ship because it takes place on board a U.S. Navy ship. The ship is thought to be the last ship out in the ocean. Because this ship is a Navy vessel it contains a full crew that are in charge of making sure they make it back safely. Besides the crew there is also a woman doctor with a last name of Scott. This woman believes she knows where the disease originated and how to create a cure. Dr. Scott believes that the disease originated in the Artic and Artic birds then it evolved to infect humanity. She believes that the birds that carried the sickness live in the North Pole and that they actually got the disease from the ice. Since she believes such the ship travels to the north so she may collect samples that will help her to begin creating a cure. Though all of this may be her goal, it became very complicated to get her samples because helicopters appeared out of nowhere and began shooting at her and her team. The people in these helicopters somehow knew what Dr. Scott’s team was doing and thus they wanted her dead. The people in the helicopters are apparently what is left of the Russian government and that the Russian’s have some serious problems with Scott finding the cure. Due to these helicopters Scott was unable to get what she thought would be a good sample. Now, since the captain of the ship’s priority is to keep Dr. Scott safe he had to get her back on board and away from the Artic. As the series premiere continued Scott informed the crew that when the disease first infected people it was at, what is known as stage two, now the disease is at stage six. While on board though the crew receives a video from a White House employee they learn that eighty percent of the world had become infected and died. The captain was lucky enough to contact his wife and to find out how his family was doing. Thankfully for him the news was good, but for other members of his crew the news about their families was devastating. At the end of the premiere the ship does reach home, but because home looks so dissertated that the captain ordered that the crew to stay on board. I’m really excited to see what they do with this idea and show, but I really hope that the season the crew just stays on the boat. It looks like in the coming episodes the disease will infect the crew. If this does happen I wonder how it will manage to not kill everyone on board. I also hope that Dr. Scott does develop a cure. Tonight at nine there is a new episode on TNT and will continue to be on TNT Sunday nights at nine.
