Well, I was unsuccessful with my hysterical rant below. Spent the day in the UK on Friday and watched the country march to its doom -- the SAME theatrics about some frantic intel that demands midnight press conferences and immediate emergency powers that suckered us with the Patriot Act -- the SAME soundbites -- save lives, homegrown terrorists -- the same refusal to let any in Parliament (read Congress) actually read the bill...idiotic pundits explaining why it is needed...the darkness overcoming the lovely island that gave birth to democracy -- like a toxic shadow -- and absolutely no one aware of what they are signing away....bitter, bitter to see...
