Well I went to see Dr Kelbell at the SBO today...and he said its understandable why O am in so much pain and have been falling over the past 2 1/2 years...after looking st my x-rays both knees are bone on bone....Finally someone listens to me! (Y) He was very nice...not rude...not mean...did not dehumanize me due to my weight that didnt come off with my weight loss surgery....but was straight up and honest with me.... Past surgery experiences have proven that if your not a certain weight and I wont say how much because I dont want to be looked at as a number by people on here...but If you are not at a certain cut off range it makes your chances of failure almost 100%, and your chances of infection the same.... You just will not heal right or get the best out of your surgery and I can understand than and I accept that because after all the knees are taking all the beatings and carrying around our whole body...along with the hips...and feet...but the knees are very important. *He said something I have already known...but hearing it come from him really hit home hard.....that IF I do not get this done I will be in a wheel chair and its not necessary, because Im too young...So this stubborn weight is coming off one way or another and I CAN do this! Talking to my two daughters who are willing to enter into a program with me so this does not happen...they both said Mom if you can lose just 2 lbs a week you can have surgery in the spring... The other said Mom you have an advantage over some who have to lose you still have your surgery inside you and that will help you because I hardly eat anything which is one of my problems... Im going to call Doc tomorrow to set me up with a dietitian here in town, because all my weight loss surgery ones are down in Carmel IN. 2 1/2 hours away...and I have to learn all over again about eating... I mean EATING...not going all day with out eating because I dont feel like it anymore..... because you gain if you eat too MUCH and you gain if you eat too LITTLE! And mine is too little! So as soon as I lose 60 lbs which is NOT asking a ton of weight like most other doctors would be asking he will do the surgery!
