Well, Im going to rant a bit... Ok, I keep seeing all the god says no(etc..) and hooray for the gays posts. First off, I want to agree with both sides, this should never need to be a court decision. Next, Im going to tell the gay community, congrats, now you can get married, and be stuck, or get divorced. Some will be happy for the rest of their lives, most, well.... Wont. Finally, and unfortunately, the part that will piss off most of my Christian, and conservative friends. For all of you who believe that your Christian marriage is for a man, and a woman, congratulations!! You are right!! That is where our agreement here ends. You think that the court decision making gay marriage is wrong, and violates gods will, well tough luck there, because the Christian founders of our once great country decided that religion should be left out of government. And for very good reason. Just because you follow the word of god, does not mean you are allowed to make laws that suit your beliefs!! If someone else follows a more progressive path of enlightenment and thinks god is ok with it, thats their right to believe. A true Christian church (pastor, minister, whatever) will not marry a gay couple, but thats not the only part of marriage. There is the legal part, where the government recognizes that the two people are as one in life. How can you say that is wrong for a man and a man or woman and woman?? You cant, because its not a Christian process, its a legal process. If you tell them they cant do something based on your beliefs, you are discriminating against them, who obviously have a different belief. God says love one another, start being a good Christian and pray for their forgiveness to your god, and stay away from theirs! Thank you, I apologize to anyone I may have insulted.
