Well, It is the day before election. Thankful it is finally here! Our team has worked so Hard! I am so thankful for each one of them. My Friend received a letter in the mail from a group of concerned residents. This letter was addressed to All Residents of the Town of Coeymans, but not everyone received one. It was to support my opponent, which is fine. What is not fine, is that there were a lot of names of people (typed, not signed) that did not know they were going to be named in a letter. There were past and present board members, and even people who do not live or vote in the town, which is not a surprise to me of who they support, just the context of the letter. I spoke to a few of the people on the list and they thought they were being put on a designating petition for another line for that candidate, not a letter slamming the leadership of the board. ( the Supervisor is one vote of the five member board, he/she has no more of a say than any other councilman.) People certainly have every right to promote the person that they want to win an election, but not at the expense of people that have been deceived. I do not know and have not spoken to many of the people listed on the letter. I am curious as to what they were told by the group that sent it. I continue to try and bring business to this town, keep the people informed, and look to the best interest of ALL the people in the Town, not just a few. We need Businesses, and Jobs! We want people to invest in our Community! Lets give them a reason to. Thanks, Steve
