Well, Just happy to be alive this morning after getting into a car accident on the way to dinner last night. We had only just left home and were three blocks away when someone in an SUV ran a red light and we t-boned him in the intersection. Tims thumb is braced now and he likely has a torn ligament from being hung up in the steering wheel when the air bags went off and he is feeling sore and pissed off at the other driver. I am sore and was really scared. I have never had an accident with air bags go off so that was a new experience. I thought the car was on fire with all the smoke and the terrible smell that comes from the bags. The other driver was walking at the scene so he is ok too. People were great and offered assistance immediately but we were right in front of the Fire hall so we had immediate responders to the scene. The ambulance attendants were very kind and it turns out that the friendly face I recognized in the ambulance was Ron, a nice fellow that I took my Level 3 First Aid with 20 years ago on the Sunshine Coast. He did a great job. After an eye test and and an ultrasound of my tummy and a brace on Tims arm we were able to head to the turkey dinner that was waiting with our good friends back at Danas house. Feeling extra grateful today for the wonderful people that are my family. I love you all and am thankful for each and every one of you.
