Well Mother Earth threw us a curve ball today. The day began beautifully with glorious sunshine and so the gang; Melanie, Dan, Busta, Annie, Jessica, Lok and Lauren set up shop putting EVERYTHING outside, creating a whole lot of floor space for us to empty the stock cupboard and do some sorting. Then lo and behold, out of nowhere the rain came tumbling down and we had bring everything indoors! The centre was PACKED to the rafters and there was very little space for customers - thanks to those that still visited and tackled the assault course we created! Slowly but surely the blankets & winter clothing for IRAQ is arriving at the centre. We have extended the drop off date to Thursday 20th November so please dig deep - we need clean, good quality winter clothing and blankets so the displaced families in Iraq have a chance of getting through the winter. Even if you can manage only one blanket, every bit helps - alternatively the organisation we are working with can source blankets for £4 so you could donate a small amount of money and we will buy the blanket on your behalf or you could donate some money towards transportation. Keep warm peeps :-))
