Well .... Received a recall notice in todays mail on our 2003 Ford Ranger Edge pickup. The notice warns of an under hood fire hazard related to the cruise control deactivation switch. It says that a fire could occur at any time and can occur even if the speed control system is never used. It advises that until such time as the recall correction repair is made, the truck should be parked away from structures to prevent a potential underhood fire from spreading. Well .. isnt that special? I will be away for the next few minutes ... pushing the Ford down next to the creek.... next to our GM vehicles.
