Well after talking to Alesha and Caitlin, we decided to share the incredible story of how this young man Jase come into the world yesterday. But first I have to premise a little about the whole situation. As most of you are aware, Caitlin is confined to a wheel chair and being a paraplegic we werent sure if this would cause complications when it came time for the baby to be born. Would she be able to do it by natural child birth or would the have to perform a C-section were questions that wouldnt be answered until the day he came. The baby doctors all thought it was a good possibility that she could have him the normal way, but again werent 100% sure. Well yesterday came and she was all settled in at Hershey Med and waiting the arrival. The induced her around 8:00, and then it was all about the waiting game and hoping he would come soon. She couldnt feel the contractions, and around 4:30 or so they broke her water. They were going to hook a monitor to his head because he started to get very active and they could get the heartbeat off the regular monitor. As they were doing this Alesha rolled Caitlin on her side to give her a different position for a bit. Everyone was sitting around waiting to see of he would come and the nurse was getting the monitor wire together for him. Alesha said she thought she heard a baby crying, and jumped up and starting yelling for the nurse theres a baby coming. Caitlins Nanny Tina and Bella her sister threw the sheets back and there he was in all his glory, Jase was already halfway out and coming fast. The nurse only had to ease him the rest of the way out and it was all over. Just as natural as you please and everyone in the room said it was the most amazing thing EVER. Of course I had left an hour earlier to go home and rest for a bit thinking he was being stubborn and would take a while. I drove back to Hershey just as fast as I could and the rest is history. The nurses were all talking about this special little guy, and even detailed notes in his chart about the amazing way he came into the world. She is a very special young lady and he is going to be one special young man.
