Well, all I see in this post and site is that there is a significant population that are ignorant and that spend a lot of time denying the fact they are racists. As far as Paula Dean, she nor her supporter just do not get it. Probably never will. The ignorance is spelled out in the comments here from people who have no idea what slavery was or why it was so bad. This is a good thing because it shows clearly what I have said all along, the US is still a deeply racist country for people in particular areas and of a particular age. It will take about another 100 years to get that racism to an acceptable level. There will always be ignorance, so there will always be racism and bigotry. People will always hate other people. That sure as heck does not mean that it is acceptable or justified.
