Well all week it seems that our devotionalist, Sarah Young, has taken us on a mental and spiritual journey to wait, be patient, and if we are then God will pour out his blessings upon us. Amen for that. Again she emphasizes the idea of letting God work out things in our life in his own timing. She uses the scripture found in Ecclesiastes 3:1 which is a favorite of mine. It says, There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. There is and old saying that I have drilled into all my daughters heads while they were growing up and if they are reading this I hope they remember dad saying, Dont awaken love until its time. You know friends, sometimes we get into a big hurry and by doing so we lose out on many things from God and let me tell you why. The saying, Good things come to those who wait is true, but if we are not patient we will settle for second best because we dont wait for Gods best. I think all of us have done that. So this mornings devotional is rather simple. Just hold your horses and wait for God to catch up then get behind him and let him have the reigns of your life and let him guide you. Amen!
