Well...another Easton convert. We did another ball speed test against Easton with the Rawlings Velo -10. Here were the results: The player is an experienced 12 year travel ball player that plays on a AAA team. Each bat hit 8 balls and we even went BACK to the Easton to make certain it wasnt just because of warming up. Ball speed range off the Easton S1, 38 mph to 47 mph with an average ball speed of 43 mph. Ball speed off the Rawlings Velo 59 to 61 mph with an average speed of 60. Folks, there is no comparison. #1, look at the consistency. This proves what so many have been saying forever about the Easton. They say, Sometimes it really jumps off the bat and other times it seems dead. #2, look at max ball speed. We all know that there are limits to just how well the bat can perform. But the bats are tested by balls shot out of a cannon into the barrel. So the engineering and technology with Rawlings goes into the handle and the end of the bat...how it is machined and fused. It truly makes a difference in the flex of the bat and how fast the bat comes through the zone. Come in and look at a video we have of the bat in action and the amount of flex it has when swung. I just wonder how many people will continue to buy Easton because of the name instead of the performance? You cant buy for less anywhere else. I laugh when I see signs on peoples doors that say, We guarantee the lowest price.
