Well, approximately 24 hours have passed since our Impact Pro - TopicsExpress

Well, approximately 24 hours have passed since our Impact Pro Wrestling show last night and I really couldnt be happier. A surprisingly large and EXTREMELY enthusiastic crowd was on hand to witness IPW in Des Moines last night. I feel like we really firing on all cylinders and produced a good first show in Forte DM. A huge thank you to my wife Caroline Peterson. Everyone that deals with me hours before show gets a small taste of what she has to deal with for weeks before a big show. She is truly my rock. Sometimes she has to drag me kicking and screaming to find my happy place, but she always manages to do it. I cant imagine go through this journey or any other journey without her. 9 years ago when we met, IPW was disorganized and not heading in the right direction. Most of the successes we have experienced as a professional wrestling company have been a direct result of her vision and ideas. She doesnt get the credit, but her ideas are in every business decision that is made in IPW. I LOVE greeting fans on the way in and out of shows. I love to get feedback about what they like and didnt like. I also like to express my sincere appreciation for fans giving up $15, but far more importantly their time out of their weekend and trust us to entertain them. Last night was unique in the amount of appreciation the fans expressed to me about presenting the show. That was incredible. THANK YOU to everyone that came out to watch our show. We hope that you join us on January 10th back at Barattas. My parents, Harriet and Robert Peterson took tickets at my first show in Oskaloosa in May of 2001 and were there last night. When the setup for the show is getting hectic and a lot of things are going on, their arrival always fills me with a calm. Their love is unconditional. Which is proven at times by what they get put through while taking tickets at a pro wrestling show :) Travis Shillington and I are a good team. We have been working together on professional wrestling shows in some fashion for 13 YEARS. That is a LONG time. We have had many people inquire about partnering with us, but we never consider it too seriously. We didnt want to risk working with someone that would take away from our fun. Our show last night had a third partner in Jake Feldman. I had reservations about working with him. After last night, I couldnt have been happier with our new arrangement. Jake was hard working and the most intelligent production guy I have ever worked with. He has a great vision for presentation and was a great addition to the IPW fun team. So many people were friendly faces came out to support Caroline and I. Jim Bartz, Carver Bartz, Dennis and Rita Mueggenberg were rowdy fans the entire night and brought me to tears through laughter at our party after the show. Jim in particular was in rare form indeed!! Good times. Derek Peterson and Joe Peterson bringing Link and Benji was pretty awesome. Derek is a great friend and partner. Amy Engle Parker and Wes Parker along with their children are always great to spend time with . A lot of laughs and Wes made it through the whole night without falling asleep!! I have know Chad Olson for 36 years! It was great to see him and his crew(Connor, Cory Olson, and Farrin) Chad is not only a great friend, but he gives a mind numbing amount of support to the Dan Gable-Museum. Kyle Klingman made the trip down, which was incredible. Kyle Peterson Angie Peterson Clay Courtney Dave Ryan Mike Frost Larry Kina Collins Benjamin BadgleyBill Badgley Jon Bunger RodBlair, Tommy Ace Justin Hashman Marc Korver Steven Hullinger Charity Hullinger Mike Morgan and his wife Gayleu, along with all of the normal(well more like regular) cast of characters that make up the IPW family . I had more fun than should be allowed by law. I appreciate the support! Thank you to all the IPW wrestlers that made the night worth buying a ticket for. From top to bottom one of best shows of the year. Danny Wagener James Jeffries Nicole Lynn Cody Saveraid Jason Turner Matt Ferguson and Bill Jensen all went above and beyond in some fashion to promote the show and make it a success. It is those people that make a difference in promotions like IPW. Thank you! From what I heard, Midnight Guthrie and Matthew Hollinger did a good job providing some spirited commentary. I cant wait to hear the finished product. Im excited for January 10th. I hope to see everyone from last night there. Bring a friend :) In the meantime, we have what I believe will be my favorite show of the year at Woodward Academy. Last year it was one of the greatest experiences I have had in pro wrestling. It is a private show, but I will give a full recap of results next Sunday. I will give full results of the show tomorrow. Im going to get some rest. I waited way too long to run in Des Moines.
