Well, as I sit here this evening contemplating whether I should - TopicsExpress

Well, as I sit here this evening contemplating whether I should keep the summer to do list or trash it since I never started it....... I remember 11 or so years ago when I left the COC to pursue a career as a teacher because I felt teachers had it made. Well, they made all that money and only worked from 7 to 3 and had 3 whole months off, so I left my job of 23 years and acquired a 2nd degree. 11 years later, I realize that the job of a teacher is never done. Yes, we have 6 or so weeks off but endless planning and preparation is always on-going. Having said that, I have never regretted becoming a teacher because there was never a baseball game or cheering competition that I missed. I also knew when and where my children were at all times and that in itself helped to make them who they are today. I have made a lot of friends over the last 11 years and I believe I have truly come full circle. I truly believe to be a teacher is one of the most challenging yet rewarding professions their is. So... I am tearing up my to do list until next summer... I enjoyed every minute that I could drinking coffee with my parents and spending time with them.. I also treasured my 3 mile walks spent with God every morning. I think that is way more rewarding than any list. Who needs a list???? Here is to another great year... 2014-2015... May all of you have a REWARDING YEAR.
