Well as pretty much everyone knows that I am here at Cooks Behavioral Hospital with Bralin, I am unable to stay with him therefore I am at the Ronald McDonald House and God Bless the employees and volunteers and the individuals who made this home available for parents and family to be close to their child. Bralin is sad but making a little progress but it is very structured and on a hour by hour schedule and I am finding that this is a very positive thing for him which is one of the reasons we have no problems at school, it is structured and not over stimulating to him. I have so much faith that God has brought is here as the Therapist, nurses, and other staff are amazing, to see them work with children makes me more determined once Bralin is better and Im more educated on taking care of a child who has special needs I am returning to school to finish my Associates in teaching and either start on my Bachelor degree in special education or see what classes I would have to take in order to work with children who need special care. It is so sad to see so many if these children have no visitors or phone calls during visitation. I have been to each one plus yesterday I spent from 11:30-7 here for visit at 12-1, appt w/therapist for more info on a timeline of things within the home and immediate family up to now, 3-4 in parenting education class which honestly what I learned will so be our new way of discipline that would be great for any family/teacher w/any child, then 4-7 visiting w/Bralin (he ate dinner, we played Jenga & Candy Land, colored, bath time, then more play time which played w/hot wheel cars, then it was time to go. Bralin was sad I wasnt staying or he wasnt able to go home about 45min before time for me to leave as he knew our time was about over he knows bath time we dont have much longer. The past 3x Bralin has not had a meltdown, cried, or angry instead he goes to the video monitor and intercom so he can see me and tell me goodbye. This has been really hard on me but I know in the long run it will be so worth it. MOMMY ❤️s YOU BRALIN!
