Well done to Sally Hitchings! Last weekend she walked 100km along The Ridgeway National Trail to raise funds for MCAI. Sally is a play specialist, who visited MCAI’s programme in NW Cameroon to introduce play and psychological care for children diagnosed with HIV. MCAI now employs Evodia, who was working as an unpaid nurse, to provide distraction and play for children visiting the clinic for blood tests and to run a support group for families. Sally says: “Our next aim is to create a play area on the childrens ward, where there are no toys or any fun interaction, and where the children seem sad, depressed and listless.
